Features

The Calgary CMS Solutions' Content Management System includes the following features.

Public and Member only areas - You can decide what content is available to the public and what content will require a visitor to login to access. You can move content from one area to the other with a few mouse clicks. You can allow the public to 'register' themselves or you can register users via the administrator screens. We can assist in bulk loading a large group of members like a club's membership or community residents.

Delegating of responsibility - You can assign different levels of access and privilege to different users. You can set a user or users with privilege to perform some or all administrator tasks. For example you might assign one person to maintain the events calendar (see below) and another to monitor the classified ads areas with others allowed to write news or articles.

Events Calendar - The administrator can create categories for events such as 'Meetings' or 'Activities'. You can then create events that will appear in the calendar. The supplied calendar supports single events as well as repeating events like weekly meetings or even events like 'the 3rd Tuesday of the month'.
Photo Gallery - Your site can contain a photo gallery with any number of categories. The photos show as thumbnail images that expand up when the visitor clicks on them. Each image can have a text caption with it. You can upload images one at a time or upload a zip file, containing a group of images, all at once .
Classified Ads - You can include a classified ads feature if you wish to. The classified ads can be viewable by the public or you can put them in the login area to make them only available to members.
Google Maps - A Google Maps component with map markers that can be added by the administrator. Google maps are great for letting visitors know where you are or for showing members how to find important locations.
Wikipedia - Link any words or phrases to Wikipedia. Example: Content Management System
More.. there are literally hundreds of add-ons available for Joomla.
